| Bio: |  My name's Alex, I'm a 27 year old computer engineer from Scotland, currently in the process of invading England. To date, I've got as far as Manchester. I was born on the Shetland Islands, a little known rock halfway between Scotland and Norway. Nice place if you fit in. I didn't. Many people on the isles (although not all, there are some good people too) like to think they're the proud descendents of Vikings, but mostly they're just fucking inbreeds with aspirations of gentrification. Dark as hell in winter, too. After a failed attempt at college in Glasgow when I was 18, at the age of 20 I was given the sudden chance to move to Manchester as part of my job, which I jumped at. Less than two weeks later I was in England with little more than a bag of clothes and an acoustic guitar, and I've never looked back (well, maybe just over the border..., a little...). Over the years I've made more close friends than anybody could reasonably wish for, one or two enemies, drunk a bit of Jager, and become a fitness and martial arts freak, although minor back problems have made my plans to be the next Tony Jaa take a bit of a backseat for the moment. After recently escaping a dead end job with an ISP, I now work for a company which provides digital TV networks for hotels. This in essence makes me a fairly well paid pornographer. So when you drunkenly stumble back to your room from the hotel bar at 2am and dial yourself a wank, I’m the man that helps make it possible. Say a little prayer for me as you fall asleep with a bellybutton-full of your own spraff. I love music, dancing, festivals, people, contact staff, cooking, and all things sick and wrong and non-politically correct, As Billy Connolly once said, political correctness is the language of cowardice. I think the only border worth having is the earth's atmosphere. The sooner we realise we've all got to share the same fucking rock in space rather than dividing it up over our differences, the sooner the human race might stand a sporting chance at surviving. I'm a bit older and wiser than I was, but when all's said and done I haven't found my integrity all that lacking in the end. I'm really pretty happy with my lot on the whole. I try to live my life without fucking anybody over, and by and large I manage it. If I can leave the people in a room a little bit happier than they were when I entered it, with a joke or a hug or whatever, I figure I'm serving my purpose in life pretty well. Actually, bollocks to this friends only shit. There's a bit from time to time, but I try to make a point of keeping my life and it's contents as open as possible, I leave people to make up their own minds as to what I'm about.
